About me

Hello! I’m Leah. I was born and raised in a small town in North Dakota, and I’ve always had a passion for design.

After graduating from Kindred High School in 2019, I continued my education at North Dakota State University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business in 2023. During my time at NDSU, I had the exciting opportunity to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland, where I completed my interior design internship—a truly unforgettable experience.

After graduation, I worked locally in Fargo, ND for two years, gaining valuable experience in the industry, before launching Monarch Interiors. My journey in interior design started at a young age, drawing floor plans of my bedroom and constantly rearranging furniture. While the creative aspect of design initially drew me in, it’s the problem-solving and helping clients transform their houses into homes that continues to inspire me every day.
Residential interior design has always been my true passion, and I’m committed to helping my clients create spaces that reflect their unique personalities and lifestyles.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the lake in the summer, traveling the world, playing golf, reading a good book, and hanging out with my two cats, Boots and Bowie.

Our
Mission

At Monarch Interiors, we believe that every space has the potential to transform, much like a caterpillar evolving into a butterfly. Our mission is to empower our clients to embrace their unique style, fostering environments that inspire growth and creativity. We strive to create interiors that reflect the beauty and individuality of each person, guiding them as they spread their wings and flourish in their surroundings. Through innovative design and thoughtful collaboration, we aim to turn your dreams into reality. Guiding you as you grow into your wings and embrace new possibilities in your home.

Our story

Monarch Interiors was inspired by my Grandma Betty, a remarkable woman who is no longer with us in this world but remains ever-present in my thoughts and forever in my heart. She was a constant source of inspiration, radiating joy, prioritizing family, and loving deeply. Her passion for home décor and her ability to find beauty in everything left a lasting impression on me.

One of the most unforgettable moments came on one of the saddest days of my life. After returning home from Grandma’s funeral, our kind neighbors gifted my mom an angel statue for her garden. As we sat together in the garden, sharing memories of Grandma, something incredible happened—a monarch butterfly landed gently on the statue. It stayed with us for a long time, allowing us to approach and even touch it. In that moment, we felt Grandma’s presence so profoundly. It was as if she was there, reminding us of her love and spirit.
